Learn how to sew the Coffee House Bag

This video course includes step-by-step instruction on making the Coffee House Bag.

This bag features interchangeable flaps, 3 zipper pockets, 1 slip-on vinyl pocket, and a cross-body strap you can adjust with hardware if needs be OR keep it simple with no hardware.

Finished bag size is approx 12" x 10.5" x 2.5"

Materials:

  • 1 YD exterior fabric (less if you are ok with piecing your gusset) If using vinyl or cork, 1 roll will work (18x56)
  • 1 YD lining fabric (same as above)
  • 1/2 YD coordinating fabric
  • (3) pocket zippers 8" length or longer
  • (1) magnetic closure *I prefer 3/4" size / or sub your preferred closure
  • SF101 woven interfacing 2 YDS if using the most readily available 20" width
  • (optional) Foam interfacing 1 YD *Usually, I don't need this if I'm using vinyl or cork for my exterior
  • (2) D-rings 3/4" width
  • (1) sewable leather strap 3/4"
  • Scrap of 10 gauge clear vinyl (1) piece 5" SQ if making the pocket; if making a vinyl flap you'll need an additional piece at least 12" x 12"
